WHAT IS HOSPITALITY GIN?

Hospitality Gin is a London Dry gin with a purpose.

We use 100% of our profits to support the UK hospitality industry and its employees. We will do this until the COVID-19 pandemic is over.

Why the Hospitality Industry?

  • The hospitality industry was hit first and hardest by the pandemic
  • Thousands of hospitality workers have lost their jobs and livelihoods, despite Government support for business
  • Many venues are at risk of permanent closure

HOW WILL PROFITS BE USED?

100% of profits will be used to support the UK hospitality industry. The main two charities we will be donating to are The Drinks Trust and Hospitality Action, see below for more details.

By minimising our overheads and through the generosity of our partners, we will be donating between £4-6 of every bottle to charity.

ABOUT THE CHARITIES

Hospitality Gin supports charities and causes that support the UK hospitality industry, both directly and indirectly. The two largest charities dedicated to hospitality workers are The Drinks Trust and Hospitality Action.

Between them, The Drinks Trust and Hospitality Action have paid over £750,000 of grants to workers who have lost earnings due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They are now shifting to helping members of the drinks industry to live mentally and physically healthy lives through the pandemic and beyond.

ABOUT THE GIN

We’ve created an outstanding London Dry gin, it’s hand-distilled using carefully selected botanicals in state-of-the-art vacuum stills.

Our partners, Cooper King Distillery in North Yorkshire distill the gin to exacting specifications, featuring locally grown lavender, honey from their own beehives, and a touch of lemongrass.

By distilling in state-of-the-art glass vacuum stills, they can ensure that the distillation temperatures are tailored to suit each individual botanical, creating a gin with only the freshest, fullest flavours.

ABOUT TOM

Tom has spent his whole working life in the hospitality industry and has recently dedicated his time to advising hospitality workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. He has worked tirelessly to ensure that useful information is accessible in an easily digestible format.

By sharing this information with a group of senior hospitality professionals with extensive social networks, tens of thousands hospitality professionals were kept up-to-date on the developing situation and its real world effects. Through this he became aware of how many members of the hospitality industry were left in precarious financial positions through no fault of their own.

Prior to the pandemic, he was working on several projects which have been shelved for the time being, as well as working at FirePit Rocks in Sheffield City Centre. Tom was heavily involved in the developing the concept and brand of FirePit Rocks, and in return they continue to support him.

Tom’s motivation has always been to help those who need it, by freely sharing advice or best practice to those who need it, and in turn, helping the local hospitality industry to grow. Now more than ever, we need to pull together to support those who need it most, and that is the rationale for founding Hospitality Gin.
